Louis D. Barnes was a very nice guy. He loved to have a good time with his family and lending a helping hand to his neighbors. At an early age he was taught the meaning of love and having a relationship with God.
Louis attended Norfolk public schools and was a graduate of Granby High School. He attended Old Dominion University and later enlisted into the United States Army. Louis worked for several companies that allowed him to perfect his expertise in electrical engineering.
His last position was with the TRT Company.
Louis is predeceased by his father James S. Barnes Sr., his brother James S. Barnes Jr. and infant twin brothers.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother G. Marie Barnes of Stephens City, VA.; four brothers: Andrew Barnes (Vera) of Norfolk, VA, Rev. Ronald Barnes (Wanda) of Virginia Beach, VA. Dennis Barnes (Rosemarie) of Hampton, VA, and Alonzo Barnes (Renee) of Norfolk, VA.; three sisters G. Marie Parker (Lawrence) of Norfolk, VA, Christine Gomes of Blackstone, VA., Rosa Brown (Tracy) of Stephens City, VA., and a sister in-law Delastine Barnes of Chesapeake, VA. He also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and a special neighbor Mrs. Graham of Norfolk, VA.

The family will fellowship at the Golden Corral located 101 Volvo Parkway, Chesapeake, VA. Immediately after the service.
